Pickleball Pro, Roman Sada

Roman Sada, a former professional tennis player from the Czech Republic, is a USPTA certified Tennis and Pickleball Pro.  Roman has has over 20 years of experience in teaching players of all ages. After retiring from professional tennis, Roman pursued his passion for coaching, applying his extensive knowledge and experience to help others grow in both tennis and pickleball.

In addition to his coaching expertise, Roman holds a BA in Pedagogy with a focus on education, which has shaped his innovative coaching strategies. He emphasizes individualized learning and personal growth, ensuring that each player's unique needs are met. 

In 2017, Roman transitioned from Delray Beach, Florida, to Long Beach, Washington. He took on the role of Director of Racquet Sports at the Lighthouse Oceanfront Resort and Tennis Center. Therefore, he discovered one of the fastest-growing sports in the U.S.—pickleball. Roman quickly embraced the sport as a Pickleball Pro, recognizing its similarities to tennis and its appeal to players of all ages and skill levels.  He is one of the best pickleball teaching pros in the industry.

Throughout his career, Roman has held prestigious roles. They included Head Professional/Teaching Pro  and Director of Tennis at various clubs and academies. He has also coached elite players, such as Grand Slam Champion Hana Mandlikova.  Roman has managed tennis programs for large groups, including at the renowned IMG Bollettieri Tennis Academy.

Now, as the Director of Racquet Sports at the Lighthouse Oceanfront Resort, Roman oversees the resort's indoor pickleball courts and tennis programs. Similarly, his two decades of experience have fueled his passion for creating a welcoming environment for players at all levels. 

Roman has launched the Cape Columbia Pickleball Club and introduced a range of programs.  These including pickleball clinics, leagues, and pickleball camps, making the resort the ultimate destination for a pickleball vacation. With weekly clinics, social events, and even after-school programs, players can enjoy an immersive and engaging experience on the courts, guided by one of the best in the industry.
